Where I Stand (March 1 Edition)

Remember how I said a ton of stuff was "probably" going to stay on the DVR until March? I've now drawn a line in the sand - nothing else gets on the DVR or is checked out from the library (including the last half hour of How Green Was My Valley!) until the DVR is cleared of what's been recorded.

Still, there have been accomplishments.

316 Movies watched - a 13 movie gain this month. Technically it's 14, because husband suddenly admitted he really hadn't seen all of Cool Hand Luke, but that was already marked off on the list (well, he's claiming he "remembers" the movie now, but let's be honest). It may not seem like a lot, but we did manage to watch all of the Alexander Mackendrick films on the list.

Favorites watched this month? Sweet Smell of Success, Harold and Maude, Mr. Deeds Goes to Town.
Husband's Favorites? Cool Hand Luke, Harold and Maude, Whiskey Galore!

The goal is to have these off by April because it's just sad they're sitting there!

I have found out that there's a 2007 version of the list floating around. I'm going to stick to the 2005 edition since I've put the work in for this list. I figure if I keep switching, I'll end up only watching older films for fear that movies made after 1980 will keep getting dropped from the list.

Will be going to the theater today to see There Will Be Blood, so don't worry, movies are still being watched! They're just not always 1001 listers.
